This house is located on the "main" street of Komlosteto ( the suburb of Miskolc) with it's 250 square meters on a land of 1500 square meters. The building's frontage was fully renovated (Dryvit and painting) last year and this year we continued with an inside renovation too (painting).
About the area:
Komlosteto is located almost 6 km from Miskolc's city center at the foot of the mountain called Bukk. It's a quite, near-nature place, perfect for those who had enough of the city life and want to have a more nature-friendly life but still be close to civilization. You can find lots of hiking paths near to the house, and you can also enjoy the birds twitter if you sit in the garden. This huge land is suitable for any kind of green-finger activity because the ground quality is very good.
The infrastructure of the place is great: there are two different buses transport you to and from the city center ( the station is 3 minutes walk from the house), and also has it's own day-care and elementary school.
About the house:
The house is basically two houses put together: an oldschool square house (was built in the 60's) and a 2 level new house (built in '99). It has 3 bedrooms, 2 living room (one of them can be used as a totally separated bedroom with its own door) 2,5 bathroom, huge American style kitchen, working area, dining room and basement. On the outside, we have a garage for two cars, a roofed BBQ place and a fireplace in the garden, perfect for summer-time parties!
The house lays on the South-West angle, so the kitchen and the living room area is swimming in sunshine from early morning to afternoon.
Hungary's weather can be extreme sometimes: that's why we have A/C in the house (which is not really used, because the house keeps the cold and the warm as well) for warmer days, and central heating, underfloor heating, and fireplace for the colder season.
About the city:
Miskolc has Hungary's most famous thermal spa called Cave Thermal, which has healing water and very nice atmosphere and it's located on the other side of the mountain just like 15 minutes walk from the house. This country is famous for its healing water, which is good for any kind of skin illness, joint-ache and all sorts of condition (another close thermal spot called Zsóry bath). Miskolc is located near to Tokaj which is the home of world-famous Hungarian wine called Tokaji Aszú. It's wine fields and beautiful, the huge mountains steal everybody's heart. If you want to have a nice nature-close life, with tasty wine, nice neighbors and healing water, this is your place to be.
